Hurriyat (M) pays tribute to slain Fateh Kadal, Pulwama militants | KNO

Srinagar, October 18 (KNO) : Hurriyat Conference (M) expressed serious concern over the ‘genocide' of Kashmiri people at the hands of forces and the intense wave of unabated human rights violations, terming the forces’ actions as 'vendetta and highly condemnable'. Paying tributes to Raiees Ahmed Sofi, two armed youth killed in Fateh Kadal gunfight—Mehrajudin Bangroo and Faid Ahmed Waza and also another youth Showkat Ahmed Killed in Pulwama today, Hurriyat (M) in a statement issued to (KNO) said “the sacrifices of our youth forced to take to arms to resist oppression are our asset and their priceless sacrifices, will inshallah definitely bear fruit."Hurriyat (M) strongly condemned the continuous house arrest of APHC chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, terming it 'highly autocratic and frustration' on part of the authorities. Incarcerated Mirwaiz, meanwhile spoke to the parents of all the three slain youth killed in Fateh Kadal encounter—Habibullah Sofi, the father of Rayees, is an active member of Awami Action Committee (AAC) and a staunch supporter of Kashmir struggle, Sonaullah Bangroo, the father of Mehrajudin Bangroo and Mushtaq Ahmed Waza the father of Faid Waza. Mirwaiz expressed his solidarity and sympathy with the families of all three slain persons and stated that "killing of youth every day in Kashmir reflects the military mindset of New Delhi which instead of accepting the ground realities is selectively killing the youth.”Meanwhile, Hurriyat spokesman strongly condemned the police assault on the media men belonging to print and electronic media at Fateh Kadal that left many journalists injured and stated that "the act was highly condemnable." The spokesman expressed his solidarity and sympathy with the journalists who were thrashed by the forces while carrying out their professional duties.(KNO)
